Day 01 : Arrival / Pick up From Malang
A 3-day tour package to admire the beauty of Tumpak Sewu waterfall and Mount Bromo starts from Malang, East Java. It is up to you to get to the meeting point in Malang at around midday. The trip will depart at 12.00 from Malang to the proximity of Mount Bromo as the first destination in the tour package. It takes about 3 hours to arrive there and the rest of the day is just leisure and rest time. A place to stay is included in the package so it is a must to check-in upon arrival.
Day 02 : Bromo Volcano
The second day is the day of Mount Bromo with an early start at 3 AM. There will be a fun Jeep ride to reach the sunrise viewpoint spot at Mount Penanjakan. Along the approximately 1 hour drive, there will be a sea of sand and hillside to enjoy. Enjoying the golden hour of sunrise is priceless with the fog hiding the valleys around the area. The view includes the tip of Mount Bromo, Mount Batok, and Mount Semeru from the sunrise viewpoint. The tour will continue at 6.30 for another 1-hour drive to another great spot of natural attraction.
The next thing to do within the Mount Bromo Tumpak Sewu waterfall tour is to enjoy the crater of Bromo as close as possible. It takes quite an effort though to reach the spot. There are 250 uphill steps to tackle in about 1 hour at least. The view of active Bromo volcano waits at the crater’s ridge up top. It is a unique and beautiful thing to see and experience by being so close to an active volcano crater. This activity will end at 8 with the drive to the next destination will depart at 10. The destination is Pronojiwo village.
The village is the closest habituated village to the area of Tumpak Sewu waterfall as the ultimate destination of the 3-day tour package. Upon arriving at the village it is a must to check-in at the provided homestay to end the second day of the tour. The last day will start at 6.30 AM for the exploration of the Tumpak Sewu waterfall for the next 3 hours. That is the reason to have a good long rest after each activity because nature exploration is a long and tiring activity. Yet, the beauty of Mother Nature greatly helps to relieve the tiredness.
Day 03 : Tumpak Sewu Waterfall
The last day activity starts with trekking the beautiful tropical landscape within Mount Semeru. After approximately 10 minutes of walk from the closest parking area, the waterfall will be visible already. It takes 30 minutes more of walking down a steep path and crossing rivers to eventually reach the spot of the Tumpak Sewu Waterfall.
After it is enough to enjoy the area of the waterfall the exploration continues to Goa Tetes before returning to the parking area. The day will end after lunch with an immediate checkout from the homestay. A direct transfer to Malang will finally end the Mount Bromo Tumpak Sewu waterfall tour for 3 days.
