Tumpak Sewu Waterfall is located on the border between Malang and Lumajang. The locals often call this waterfall Grojogan Sewu, Coban Sewu, or Coban Tumpak Sewu. The location of this waterfall is administratively included in Lumajang. But it can be accessed more easily from Malang. If you drive your own vehicle, Tumpak Sewu is around 66 Km away from Malang and it requires around 2 hours to reach the place. Around 100 meters away from the border of those 2 cities, you will see direction to Panorama Post where you will be able to see the outstanding panorama of Tumpak Sewu.

You have to pass land cliffs with help from bamboo stairs that do not look sturdy at all. In several spots, you need to hold on ropes only. Once you have reached the bottom of the abyss, you have to walk in the river flow against the water flow to reach the waterfall. However, those challenges should not be a big deal if you are an adrenaline junkie, right?
