Day 1 : Bali to Banyuwangi
We provide an English speaking driver and a private car with AC for your transportation from your hotel in Bali. It takes about 3,5 hours of the trip to Gilimanuk port. Once we arrive at the port, you will ride a ferry to Ketapang port in Banyuwangi for about 1 hour. You will also enjoy lunch at the local restaurant. From this city, we will continue our journey to the hotel where you will stay for one night and preparing climbing the next day.
Day 2 : Climbing Mount Ijen to see the blue flames and sunrise
The driver and an English speaking guide will pick you up at 00:30 AM. We take you to the starting point, Paltuding post, using a private car with air conditioner. From the starting point (Paltuding), we start climbing to the peak. The route goes through the 2468 ha nature reserve where you can enjoy the various type of plants, see the coffee plantation and enjoy the atmosphere in this rainforest. It takes 90 minutes until the top, the area 2383 meters above sea level.
At the top, you can see beautiful natural blue flames that shine the darkness with its beautiful bluish light. Accompanying by the smoke from a yellow rock formation on the bottom of the crater, you will see one of the most magnificent sceneries in your life. Use your camera to capture this beautiful piece of art.
While you are in this location, witness how sulfur miner work extremely hard to mine the sulfur rock and carry it manually out of the crater. They only use a bamboo basket to carry the sulfur rock that can easily reach 80 kilograms.
Once we are done watching blue flames, sunrise and sulfur miners, you will return to the hotel. Have breakfast and check out, and continue to the next journey to Mount Bromo. It takes 6 hours drive, with a stop to enjoy the local cuisine for your lunch. In the Mount Bromo area, you will stay at the hotel to prepare for the next climbing.
Day 3 : Enjoy Bromo Sunrise & the beautiful Madakaripura waterfall
On the next day at 4 a.m., we prepare a 4WD vehicle to take you to Mount Pananjakan. Then, we climb to Tengger caldera to see the beautiful sunrise of Mount Bromo. You also have a chance to try horse riding to explore the Bromo volcanic desert. Afterward, we return to the hotel, check-out.
And then we will take you to Madakaripura Waterfall area for 45 minutes drive from the hotel. Arriving at parking area, start exploring Madakaripura Waterfall. It takes 1-2 hours.. Then, proceed transfer to Surabaya for the last destination.
