About the Acidic Volcanic Crater Lake

The Best Time to Visit the Crater Lake
Kawah Ijen Crater Lake will look exceptionally beautiful at dawn. Most tourists come to the lake to enjoy beautiful sunrise there to provide them different experience of hiking. Thus, it will be better to start hiking the mountain at 3 P.M. or 4 P.M. Surprisingly, you will find many people who start to climb Mount Bromo where the crater lies earlier to get the best spot. Not only that, the morning trip to the acidic crater lake is also imperative. You will be able to enjoy the wind blows the acidic sulfur before 10 A.M. The smoke of the sulfur can even be felt along the walk path.
Some tourists find it hard to continue the walk while they have to breath the sulfur smoke. It will be better if you bring a mask or handkerchief to cover your nose and mouth. Don’t be worried that the walk to the crater will make you tired since there are hardtops you can rent to take you to the mountain. The hardtop can be fit for a group consists of 6 up to 8 people. If you want to have different experience, you can also ride a horse provided by local people. Manage to come to the crater in the morning since the access to Mount Bromo will be closed at 2 P.M due the heavy sulfuric smoke that will lead people to have dangerous hiking.
Tips to Climb Mount Ijen
There are some useful tips to help you enjoy comfortable climbing to Mount Ijen. First, there is no need for you to be in rush so just take your time when climbing. Also, there will be no public toilets around the mountain, so manage to go to bathroom first before you start climbing. You also need to wear thick jacket and slayers during the hiking since the temperature can be very cold.
