There is another unique spot that should not be missed, the Glass Bridge. The Glass Bridge is a 25m-long bridge that connects Jodipan with Tridi village. This bridge stands above the Brantas River as high as 8 m.

This bridge is made of glass at the bottom and is an icon of Jodipan. The bridge is only wide enough for two people to pass each other.

Kampung Biru Arema 

Kampung Biru Arema or simply what you can call the blue village is on the bank of Brantas River just like Jodipan. 

This village is all painted blue.  Kampung Biru is a supporting village of Arema Malang soccer club.

Many call this unique village in Malang similar to Santorini in Greece. Because every corner of the place in this unique village is blue.

Besides being blue, another uniqueness that can be seen from Kampung Biru Arema is the presence of three-dimensional images painted in every corner of the walls of the house. It’s just that, the images presented are images of the legendary players of the Arema soccer club.

Various mural paintings are presented on the walls of the village, making the atmosphere more exciting. There are various legendary players from Arema soccer club who become the characters in the murals.

Museum Angkut Batu 

Museum Angkut is a modern transportation museum in Indonesia. The museum was first opened to the general public in 2014.

Since then, the museum has been visited by many people in Malang and surrounding areas. The museum has around 300 pieces of transportation equipment. All of these collections are displayed in an area of 3.8 hectares.

If you’re a fan of classic cars, this place is for you. This place displays many classic cars from various years. You can take pictures with these classic cars. It’s fun.

Coban Pelangi Waterfall 

The next destination on the first day of Malang to Mount Bromo is Coban Pelangi Waterfall.  Coban Pelangi is a 110-meter-high waterfall located in Gubuk Klakah Malang.

This waterfall is located within the Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park area and its height is about 1299.5 meters above sea level.

Before going to Bromo, this place is an interesting stopover.

This waterfall is named Pelangi or rainbow in English because it has a rainbow phenomenon in every splash of water that comes down.

Rawon 

Rawon is one of East Java’s specialties, characterized by its blackish-brown color. The thick rawon sauce comes from spices and keluak.

Day 2 

On day two of Malang to Mount Bromo trip, we will take you to Bromo. Our ultimate destination in this trip. 

Exploring Bromo

This trip will begin at midnight. You will start from Malang City with  our local driver who will accompany you and your fellow travelers to the captivating Mount Bromo. True to its name, this excursion commences at the stroke of midnight, necessitating you to set your alarm early and be prepared before the designated pickup.

As dawn’s first light gently breaks over the eastern horizon, venture to Penanjakan 1, alternatively known as Kingkong Hill or Love Hill, to engage in the mesmerizing activity of sunrise-watching. 

This vantage point is a cherished spot for witnessing one of Indonesia’s most exquisite and romantic sunrises, drawing crowds of tourists. Mount Bromo’s horizon welcomes the sun around 5 AM Western Indonesian Time. 

After immersing yourself in the enchanting sunrise spectacle, capture the breathtaking scenery with numerous captivating photos in Widodaren Savannah, and then proceed to explore the exhilarating Bromo Crater. 

We will also go to Pura Luhur Poten, Whispering Sands or Pasir Berbisik, Watu Singa, and Savannah Hill or Teletubbies Hill. So many things to see. Excited, right?

Kabut Pelangi Waterfall 

After enjoying Bromo, it’s time to splash around at Kabut Pelangi Waterfall or Rainbow Mist Waterfall. This waterfall is located in Pronojiwo, Lumajang, and is still included in the Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park. So this waterfall is not too far from Bromo.

Locals usually call it Coban Kabut Pelangi, so named because at the tourist location of this waterfall, the conditions are often foggy and if you get the right moment you can also see a rainbow at the bottom of the waterfall caused by the refraction of water and sunlight. 

This waterfall is approximately 100 meters high and is located on a plain with an altitude of about 1229 meters above sea level.

Day 3 

On day 3, we still explore the natural attractions around Malang before you head off to Ijen. On the third day of Malang to Mount Bromo trip, we will take you to Bukit Kuneer Tea Plantations and the majestic Tumpak Sewu Waterfall. 

Our driver will pick you up in the morning after you get your breakfast. The earlier you leave, the better as we will be spending the last day trekking.

Bukit Kuneer 

Bukit Kuneer or Kuneer Hill merupakan perkebunan teh yang berada lereng Gunung Arjuno. Letaknya tidak jauh terlalu jauh dari kota Malang. It takes only 45 minutes until 1-hour ride depends on the route conditions.

Kuneer Hill has an area of 1,100 hectares and is at an altitude of 1,250 meters above sea level. You will see green tea gardens as far as the eye can see. Because it is located on the slopes of the mountain, of course, the air here is very cool.

To reach this hill and enjoy the view, you need to trek to the middle of the garden and will see a beautiful view. Also, don’t forget to wear warm clothes if you visit this place in the morning as the air is still cold.

Tumpak Sewu Waterfall

Tumpak Sewu waterfall is a waterfall that has a height of 120 meters and has many beautiful waterfall streams. This waterfall is in Lumajang and is located on the slopes of Mount Semeru.

This waterfall is majestic and the most beautiful waterfall in Java. 

To reach the base of this waterfall, you will be trekking through a fairly steep and difficult path for approximately 1 hour. However, it will all pay off once you get to the main waterfall.

You need to be careful going down the track to Tumpak Sewu. It is highly recommended to hire a guide to direct you to a safe path. Especially after the flood of cold lava from Mount Semeru that passes through the river at Tumpak Sewu.
